Stay empowered during times of uncertainty

If we're not prepared, change and uncertainty can throw us off our game. When everything is unknown and in a state of flux, our minds tend to shift into hyperdrive to evaluate "what if" scenarios in an attempt to minimize an uncertain future.

To stay empowered during these times, it's important to remain grounded and open to receiving information that's around us. Following below are five things we can each do to successfully surf times of change and uncertainty.

  1. Be present. When we focus on the future or the past, we miss out on opportunities that are right in front of us because we're looking ahead or behind us. When we do this, we scatter our energies, and we lose out on opportunities that present themselves. We also miss out on the serenity and clarity that comes from being in the now.

  1. Stay centered. Being centered means getting out of our heads and into our hearts. When we are centered in our hearts, our ego/mind is not leading and our thoughts are not easily scattered. Moreover, old tapes are not available and can't be replayed over and over. To center, place your hand on your heart and breath deep several times and say aloud: Center. Your body will align, attune, and attenuate with the spoken word. For those who "feel" energy, you'll notice shifts taking place immediately within your field.

  1. Detach from everything. When we detach, we remove our energy from situations we are experiencing. It's like taking a time out. Except we don't go back in. For when we engage in mass consciousness and group think, we give up our power and decision-making to the group situation/experience. If we add to the worry or anxiousness, we expand the field of negativity and bring it to us. Remember, The Law of Attraction says: what we focus on is what we create. So don't engage. To disengage say aloud: Detach. Doing so, breaks the energy you placed in the situation and pulls it back to you. When you do so, you can see with an open heart and clearer mind.

  1. Leverage contrast for good. Contrasters are people and/or situations that bring contrast into our lives, often through experiences and situations we don't like. Most folks don't call them that - generally they use curse words to describe these folks and/or situations - but contrasters have a purpose. They help us innerstand what's in our field, what we react to, what we don't like, and don't want in our lives. Conversely, contrast also helps us clarify what we do like and want. And, it often compels us to take action to improve our lives.

To remove unwanted energies, you can use phrases like No, or I Do Not Consent to X. Some energies are literally patterns that repeat over and over. To clear patterns, I offer 2-hour workshops. To go deeper into release work, I also offer 15-minute, 30-minute, and 60-minute sessions. Note: the 15-minute session is more of a check in or a quick fix.

The key to contrasters is to take advantage of the insights they provide so you can release the energy you don't want in your field. When you do, you'll be so grateful. Which takes us to the last thought on this topic.

  1. Embrace Love and Gratitude. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese researcher, discovered the magnificent beauty and perfection that results when we pair two incredibly high frequency words - love and gratitude - together. While he did this by freezing water and taping words to the containers to create majestic crystals that resemble diamonds and/or snowflakes, I've used these very words to influence situations and dreams in my life. And I've had fascinating results.

You may want to play with these words to see how they can literally shift energy in your own life. Start by centering in love and gratitude each day and throughout the day then watch what happens.
